Thank you for swinging by! I’m Ved Shinde, a writer and researcher on a journey to explore the human predicament. Perhaps by cultivating the art of subtle sensibilities.
To understand the world through politics, and to coax my parents to take me seriously, I’m joining the University of Cambridge as an MPhil scholar interested in international relations. Before that, I read Politics and Economics at St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi.
I work as a research assistant to Dr C Raja Mohan and have previously been associated with the Asia Society Policy Institute in New Delhi, the American Enterprise Institute in Washington DC, St. Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning and the Synergia Foundation in Bangalore.
I often write on great power politics and Indian foreign policy for the Lowy Institute, Australia. I occasionally venture into culture as well. My writing has also appeared in Nikkei Asia, The Hindu, East Asia Forum, CNA, Oxford Political Review and Fair Observer.
I’m yet to be taken seriously by my parents. Hopefully, you my reader— will show faith.
I’m currently available for writing engagements and other relevant queries. Reach me here.
